Women’s Rural Entrepreneurial Network (WREN)

WREN supports women in Business who want to scale and develop their business.

Participants in the programme will be supported by Ballyhoura Development staff and Business experts from the Rubicon Centre at Cork Institute of Technology to develop confidence in themselves and their business, explore the viability of their business, look at business finances and develop an investor ready business plan.

Women participating on the programme also have the opportunity to gain a level 6 qualification from Cork Institute of Technology. The Certificate in Enterprise Development will be delivered as part of the WREN programme.

The programme was open to women with a business idea or female start up’s in the early stages of Business Development.

Thirteen Female Entrepreneurs from all over Cork and Limerick recently completed the programme and showcased their new Business idea’s in Croom Community Enterprise Centre in June 2018.

Eighteen female Entrepreneurs have been selected to join the programme in September 2018 in Croom Community Enterprise Centre.

This programme is also taking place in Midleton delivered by our partners SECAD.

All participants on the WREN programme across County Cork and Limerick will be facilitated to join a Network of Female Entrepreneurs and will take part in facilitated and virtual networking sessions.

This programme is co funded by the European Social Fund and the Irish Government through the Programme for Employability Inclusion and Learning (PEIL) 2014-2020.
