Hi, my name is Kathleen Ward and my business is called Computer Lessons At Home.  I started the business in 2014 having previously volunteering for Age Action Ireland teaching computer skills to older adults.  I have an ICT diploma in Teaching ICT and QQ1 Level 6 Certificates in Training Needs Analysis and Course Design and am a Microsoft Office Specialist.

I teach people how to use their computers, laptops, tablets and phones in order to get the best out of them.  I am dedicated to the needs of every individual client and tailor my lessons so that clients get the very best from their computer experience.  I teach clients how to set up and manage their email accounts, how to organise their files and folders on their computers, how to shop online and book holidays and how to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint Presentations

I serve a mixture of clients from businesses to people starting training courses and new jobs to older people who would like to get individual training on computer skills.

I teach clients in my own home or in theirs using a step-by-step relaxed approach.

Kathleen's Experience with WREN Programme:

I heard about the WREN Programme through an advertisement by Ballyhoura on Facebook.  I would highly recommend the WREN programme for all the budding female entrepreneurs as it is enormously beneficial.  It has it enabled me to really focus on my business plan – what was working, what I needed to improve and what my expenses and outgoings were and how much I would need to charge clients and to earn in order to have a vibrant and viable business.

It has given me new skills for my business and I found the ongoing support of the Ballyhoura WREN facilitators excellent and the network of the other participants in WREN has really helped in regards to helping and encouraging each other in our businesses.
