Ballyhoura Development's Afterschool Childcare service in Mitchelstown has currently spaces available for primary school children (Junior infants to 6th class).

The service operates from 1:40 pm to 6.20 pm, Monday to Friday.

What's included?

The Mitchelstown Afterschool facility provides a safe, professional, inclusive childcare service outside of school hours from 1.40pm to 6.20pm and is focused on enhancing children’s recreational, social and educational development.

We are now offering the National Childhood Scheme which entitles working parents to a subsidiary of their weekly fee dependent on their income. To find out what subsidies you are entitled to check out Childcare Subsidy Calculator. 

Services facilitated by the Afterschool facilities include:

• Collection from both primary schools, bus collects the children from Bun Scoile and drops to the afterschool.
• Facilitated homework sessions
• Healthy eating in a fun environment
• Recreational activities – arts, crafts, IT, etc
• Sporting activities
• Activities that help with the child’s development.
• And more importantly, a safe environment to play and have fun.

The fee is €13 per day/€65 per week.
