Ballyhoura Country Tidy Towns Awards 2024

Join us to celebrate the achievements of the Tidy Towns groups across the Ballyhoura Region!

Ballyhoura Development is delighted to announce that the Ballyhoura Tidy Towns Awards ceremony this year will take place in Croom.

The Ballyhoura Country Tidy Towns Awards are an annual celebration of the achievements of the many Tidy Towns groups in Ballyhoura Country, and are a great opportunity to reconnect with all of the Volunteers who make the Tidy Towns Groups such a success.

The Awards ceremony is now in its 34th year, and we have over 35 entrants this year! Prizes will be awarded in 3 categories.

This year’s event will be kindly hosted by Croom Tidy Towns and will be held in the Civic Centre in Croom, on Thursday the 19th of September at 7pm. 

As well as the presentation of awards and refreshments, there will be:

• A guided walk hosted by Croom Tidy Towns showing casing their projects.
• A talk by horticulturist Lynda from Rockbarton Garden on how Tidy Towns groups can better manage their green spaces and incorporate some edible planting into landscaping.
• An update by Ballyhoura staff on the  AquaCOM project. This project aims to support communities in learning more about aqua-thermal energy and how they can utilise it to their advantage.    

All Tidy Towns groups across Ballyhoura Country are welcome to attend!
