Are you interested in learning how to identify invasive species, recognise the damage they cause and learn to contain, treat or eradicate them?

Ballyhoura Development is offering a free online workshop, funded by the Community Water Development Fund, which will guide attendees on how to identify invasive species on their land. Attendees will learn about the importance of biosecurity, how to prevent the spread of invasive species, and how to treat them. This workshop is designed for farmers, landowners, EIP members community groups.


Attendees to the workshop will:

  • Learn more about invasive species such as Giant Hogweed and Japanese Knotweed.
  • Learn about the importance of biosecurity.
  • How to prevent the spread of invasive species.
  • How to effectively treat them.

The session will be facilitated by Marie Louise Heffernan from Aster Environmental Consultants
