Mindfulness | Cooking at Home | Staying Positive in Hard Times Training Would you like to feel more balanced, relaxed and confident? Do you want to learn some new, simple recipes to get you through the week? Would you like to be able to stay positive in stressful times? Ballyhoura Development and Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board are running a series of training programmes in line with evolving Covid-19 restrictions: Mindfulness: This course will include aspects such as meditation and how to stay present and positive. Practising mindfulness results in decreased stress, anxiety, chronic pain and can have a positive influence on addictive and harmful behaviours. Classes beginning on the 22nd October and run on Thursdays from 5pm - 7pm for 8 weeks. Cooking at Home: Learn some new, simple recipes to get you through the week or add some interesting alternatives to your weekly staples. It will take place in a kitchen and it will involve demonstrations and practical work. Classes beginning on the 20th October and run on Tuesdays from 2pm - 4pm for 8 weeks. Staying Positive in Hard Times: Change, dealing with setbacks or indeed living alongside Covid-19, are periods where it can be difficult to cope. This course will provide an intimate setting to look at some of these issues and will provide positive tools and steps to help people manage through stressful times. Classes beginning on the 22nd October and run on Thursdays from 7pm - 9pm for 8 weeks. The courses will take place at the FET Centre, Kilmallock and are facilitated by Geraldine Lyons, Personal Development and Well-Being Learning Practitioner.
