Ballyhoura Development would like to invite you to partake in local workshops, school competitions and join us online for our exciting online Free Family Event Day on the 14th of November with over 500 spaces available.

• School Competition (Schools)

All schools across the Ballyhoura region are asked to submit photos of science inside and outside the classroom.

   * This competition is now closed for submission.

• Afterschool Workshops (Kids): 

Ballyhoura Beo is facilitating several outdoor classroom experiments and discovery series across the Ballyhoura Region.

• Free Online Main Event (Young child, Pre-teen, Teen & Family):

Incredible collection of science exhibitors hosting interactive workshops and shows where we learn, play and let curiosity reign. 500+ free spaces available and expected to sell out fast.

Nutty Scientists: Fun Interactive Science in Your Own Kitchen.

This fun and exciting show that fully entertained and thrilled at last years event is now available online and in your own home.

Dino Down-Under: A Uniquely Fun Dinosaur Encounter with Dale Treadwell.

Venture into the past with Dale as your knowledgeable guide as he leads you on an interactive journey with Dinosaurs.

National Reptile Zoo - Let the Zoo Come to You.

Take part on a guided walk through the different habitats within the zoo. See snakes, crocodiles, spiders and many more reptilian friends.

Anyone4Science: Delicious Science you can Taste.

This online workshop looks at everyday science all around you and in your home. With a few ingredients and a little know-how this workshop transforms learning into edible ice-cream the whole family will fight over.

Faces of Ballyhoura Science Week:

The online event will close with a “picture reel” of all the happy, engaged and excited faces from the events and school’s competition across the whole Ballyhoura Region. Keep an eye out for the local mini scientists in your area.
