As part of the Ballyhoura Biodiversity Series, Focus on Food, this workshop aims to equip participants with knowledge on organic approaches to growing their food and how to plan and equip themselves with the right tools to maximise their growing space.

  • Weed and pest management
  • Incorporating pollinator-friendly planting
  • Planning with the seasons
  • Propagating your own plants
  • Useful tools and equipment
  • Growing within our climate
  • Working with soil- benefits of composting and fertilising

This workshop will facilitate demonstrations, a tour of measures in the Kilteely Allotments and an outdoor presentation.

This workshop will take place on Thursday, May 4th, from 7 pm - 8 pm in Kilteely Allotments, Main Street, Kilteely (V94 K4KW).
