Ballyhoura Development is delighted to announce the launch of its new website which will provide communities in the Ballyhoura area with easier access to valuable resources and information.

Information about funding and grants available to community groups, businesses and social enterprises will be regularly updated on the site.

Opportunities to network and get involved in your community through events run by Ballyhoura Development will be posted regularly and bookings for these events, where necessary, can be made through the site.

Business owners can visit the site to stay up to date with training, mentoring and funding opportunities. Resources and information for businesses and social enterprises are available in the Business section of the website.

The new site makes it easier for community members to see what courses and training are being made available by Ballyhoura Development in their area. The Education and Training section of the website shows a regularly updated list of upcoming courses. Places on many of these courses can be booked online.

Resources and information are provided on the site to support those looking for employment, and Ballyhoura Jobs Club will soon be posting a weekly round-up of job opportunities and vacancies online. Ballyhoura community members can also keep an eye on the Education and Training section for Jobs Club programmes and workshops which aim to support people to enter employment.

Community groups can use the site to find volunteers for their projects or initiatives by filling out a short form. Those wishing to take part in voluntary work can keep an eye on this part of the site for vacancies that match their skills and interests.

Groups aiming to raise funds for their community project can submit a request to Ballyhoura Development to have their cause featured as an appeal on the site. The Local Hub in Glenbrohane will be the first project to avail of this opportunity, which will profile the project, and facilitate online donations to Glenbrohane Community Association to support the development of the Local Hub.  This element of the site is expected to 'go live' in March.

Information about Ballyhoura Development can also be easily accessed on the site in the About Us section. Browse through all of the programmes delivered by Ballyhoura Development to get a better idea of how you, your business or your community group can avail of current opportunities. For examples of past projects and programmes, take a look at the section on Our Impact where videos, reports and publications illustrate some of the work done in the past by Ballyhoura Development.

The site also makes it easier to get in touch with the Ballyhoura Development staff member best equipped to answer your questions or help you to access relevant supports. If you are not sure who to contact however, you can contact your local office or send an email to [email protected].
