Communities are still feeling the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and face ongoing challenges to fundraising and generating an income to keep their community facility open or to provide match funding for community projects.

This two-part workshop will support communities to understand different types of fundraising and look at different ways of generating income particularly online/virtual which has become particularly relevant over the past two years.

What's involved?

Over the course of two evenings, communities will be supported to identify common funding challenges, explore different types of fundraising, and learn how to put strategies in place for effective fundraising.

Topics covered will include:

  • Various options/platforms for community fundraising – both traditional and innovative.
  • How to tell your story – how to use your work on the ground to leverage donations.
  • How to Plan and run fundraising events.
  • The Importance of annual calendar and project teams with clearly outlined actions, responsibilities and timelines.

This is a FREE course commencing on Tuesday, April 26th and ending on Tuesday, May 3rd from 7:00pm to 9:15pm.

Community Groups who take part in both evenings will be given the opportunity to apply for strategic mentorship to run their own Fundraising Event.
