RurAction is a H2020-funded innovative training network. Over a period of three years, ten early stage researchers and five social enterprises within the network have investigated several aspects of social innovation and social entrepreneurship within rural areas throughout Europe.

Within Ireland, Cork University Business School and Ballyhoura Development CLG have been active participants in this network. With the project period coming to an end, two events are organised to share the research findings from the network with a broader audience.

On the 21st and 22nd of September 2020, a virtual final conference will take place via the online platform Zoom. During this conference, the research findings emerging from the network will be shared, as well as work around rural social innovation and social entrepreneurship from external academics.

Furthermore, the conference will mark the premiere of the short documentary that has been made around social enterprises and social innovations within rural Greece, Portugal and Ireland.

During the international policy roundtable on the 23rd of September, these research findings will be discussed in the light of relevance for policymakers.
