Family Winter Walk & Forest Bauble Hunt Launching the newly installed Nature Trail! Enjoy the 2km looped forest walk that is perfect for stretching little legs, now with new nature and biodiversity signage that is nestled amongst the trees. This Free Launch Day Event funded with the support from the Community Environmental Action Fund is for families and walkers of all ages to come along and enjoy the fresh air and explore their local Nature Trail. A Bauble Hunt and fact-finding challenge map will be given out to all participants with prizes to be won. Join us at our information stand at the Trailhead Car Park between 10am & 12:30pm where you will receive information on the trail and a cup of tea or coffee as a reward. A great morning assured in the run up to Christmas so wrap up warm and join us for some green exercise and crisp fresh air. On the Day Ballyhoura Beo will be holding a Free Self-guided Family Winter Walk on Saturday, December 19th from 10am to 12.30pm at the Ballyhoura Trail Head Ardpatrick. Hot drinks, an information stand and Forest Bauble Hunt will make for a great winter’s morning adventure. This is a free event, but there is a €5 charge for the Coillte car park. This needs to be in 5 individual coins or you can purchase Coillte Annual Pass Card.
