The public health situation over the last 12 months has been very challenging for everyone. For families, with all the anxieties, uncertainties, and upheavals, there have been additional demands on parents, challenges to usual routines, and stretched coping skills. 

This course is in the East Limerick area and delivered by SHEP, The Social & Health Education Project in collaboration with Hospital FRC, Croom FRC, and Ballyhoura Development and funded through Healthy Ireland and SICAP.


What's involved?

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their children's anxieties and how they as a parent respond to this.

Amongst other topics the course will explore:

  • Supporting younger children with worries related to school and friends
  • Exploring the ‘Good Enough Parent’
  • Communication and Listening
  • Noticing and attending to Stress
  • Supporting yourself to benefit your children

This is a FREE course starting on the 31st of March and running until the 2nd of June on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm online via Zoom.

This Spring, so as to attend to the health and safety of everyone, the course is running on-line. SHEP Tutors have extensive training and experience in creating a supportive atmosphere and in helping personal learning. Tutors have also undergone training in facilitating on-line.
