Recently members of the Travelling Community in East Limerick took part in Paediatric First Aid Training in Coote Hall Kilmallock. The training focused on what to do in the event of a medical incident or accident with a child.

Participants in the training also learned how to use a defibrillator.

There is now 18 members of the community trained in Paediatric first aid which will be invaluable to them in their personal/family lives as well as in the wider community. 

All participants received a certificate that highlighted their participation in the course along with the successful completion.

This training was supported by Ballyhoura Development and the East Limerick Traveller Project and funded through the HSE Traveller Health unit.
