Ballyhoura Young Voices Art Competition! Ballyhoura Development is inviting young people aged 4-18 to be creative and to share their vision of the Ballyhoura area with us by submitting a drawing, painting, cartoon or video! The Young Voices Art Competition forms part of a wider community consultation on the theme of a Just and Green Transition for the Ballyhoura area. The competition is open to everybody aged 4 to 18... the more creative the better! What's involved? Young Voices is a call for contributions and a competition where we are asking young people (age 4-18) in the Ballyhoura Region to tell us: How do they see their community in the future? We would like to hear from as many young people as possible in the Ballyhoura area! Anything creative is eligible! Use your imagination! Send us your painting, drawing, comic strip, video (up to 1 minute), poem, etc. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative and inclusive entries. There are 3 age categories (4-8, 9-12, 13-18) and 2 themes for each age category. Ages 4-8 and 9-12 Show us your vision of how you would make your community more welcoming for: nature (your non-human friends): trees and plants, birds and other flying creatures, mini-beasts, mammals, life under soil or water etc. or your family members, friends or other humans. Age 13-18 Show us your vision of your community: in 5 years' time as a sustainable place for people and the planet What's the Prize? * €50 book voucher first prize for each category and €25 voucher second prize. * Prize winners and their artwork will be featured on the Ballyhoura Development website. * A prize-giving event will also take place, which will include an exhibition of submissions.
