Join us for a hands-on workshop and take the first steps towards planting and growing your own food!

This is the final public event of the Shared Green Deal, 'Stop, Look & Listen: Preserving the Biodiversity of Ballyhoura' project,. The workshop serves as a thank you to participants and the public for their support and participation in the project, which has been running since May 2023.

The event will be held on the evening of the 22nd May in Coote Hall, Kilmallock from 7 to 9pm

What to Expect:

  • Plant a herb container - each attendee will plant a container of herbs to nurture in their own garden or a public space in their community. Herbs are great for biodiversity, are edible and are sustainable plants as they are perennial.
  • The workshop will be facilitated as part of the 'Preserving Biodiversity' strand of the Shared Green Deal project, which aims to encourage community members to support biodiversity in their everyday actions, and within their broader communities.
  • Connect with fellow community members, Shared Green Deal participants, Tidy Towns groups, and others passionate about biodiversity and planting.
