Mid West ARIES run a varied programme of events and wellbeing and recovery workshops in the New Year. Online workshops are a great way to meet people and learn from each other. Everyone is welcome to attend and there is no pressure to engage should you choose to just sit and listen.

Ballyhoura Development has engaged with Mid West ARIES in recent years to deliver in-person training aimed at those who wish to look after their mental health. Due to restrictions, these sessions are now freely available online.

This series of events, free to attend online, is designed to support us through these challenges as we learn to live through these challenging times.

What's involved?

The series of workshops is commencing on January 6th and finishing on Wednesday the 26th, with the webinar in partnership with Mental Health Ireland entitled: “Beating the Winter Blues”. During this webinar, the panel will share different tools and strategies to help improve our mood around this time of year. It will also explore practical coping strategies that we can implement into our daily lives.

Also, there will be a Co-Production Workshop titled “Creativity for Wellbeing” . This workshop will be held online on the 27th of January from 10 am-12 pm. It will be a great conversation on how we can each tap into our creativity to enhance our daily lives and improve our wellbeing.

All of the courses are created collaboratively by people with lived experience of mental health issues, their family members/carers/supporters, community partners, and staff working in the mental health services with everyone’s contribution equally valued. These sessions are free and open to anyone (aged 18+) with an interest in mental health and well-being.
