Learn some new gardening and horticulture skills to get your garden or plot summer-ready!

During this six week course, Mitchelstown Men’s Shed participants will learn some of the basics and specialist skills of horticulture. New members are always welcome and it is the perfect time of the year to try something new. In the summer, you will be able to apply your new skills and hopefully see the benefits of your hard work!

Participants will learn some basic techniques about:

  • garden planning
  • food growing
  • planting for aesthetics
  • and other areas that interest them.

The course is flexibly designed to cater for the level of the group and their own particular interests.
