With the gradual easing of Covid-19 restrictions, communities will be thinking of how best to restart their operations and to reopen their facilities so that they adhere to new Covid-19 related health and safety guidelines.

Every business is different, but community facilities and services will need to think about the safety measures that they will need to put in place, so that they can continue to be available for community use.

Things to Consider before Reopening

Risks to consider will generally relate to:

  1. Measures to prevent the spread of infection;
  2. Awareness raising for staff, volunteers and community members;
  3. Social Distancing Measures;
  4. Support Measures such as updating of policies and procedures, to reflect any new changes.

Ballyhoura Development can guide and support communities around this, and we welcome requests for support from community facilities and services across the Ballyhoura area, over the coming months.

Please contact us if we can help you in any way to restart your community services, or to reopen your community facilities. Submit your enquiry and contact details below and we will contact you.

Submit a Request for Reopening Assistance

We can help with a number of practical things, as outlined below.

Risk Assessments

We are available to guide you around undertaking a simple Risk Assessment, which will help you to identify any additional equipment you may need, and we can help with measuring up for floor markings, perspex dividers for meetings, etc.  Whether you undertake the Risk Assessment yourself, or require guidance or help to do it, there are a number of simple mitigation measures which can be put in place.

A simple Risk Assessment template will be provided to guide you on things that will need to be considered and if you would like guidance or help, we can either call to meet you at your community facility, or discuss over the phone.

Signage & Markings

Other supports offered, at no cost, include:

  • Help with measuring and/or affixing floor markings to facilitate social distancing;
  • Reorganising and moving furniture and equipment;
  • Putting up external Covid-19 related signage;
