Jacki Hehir, Development officer with Ballyhoura Development facilitated a St. Brigid's Cross Making Workshop as part of the North Cork Rural Community Health Project.

A group of women from Newtownshandrum took part in a St. Brigid's Cross-making workshop recently. This was facilitated by Ballyhoura Development through the North Cork Rural Community Health Project and the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme

The project works to improve the health and lifestyle of communities by organising and facilitating activities that promote good mental and physical health and well-being.

The women who took part enjoyed a very nice morning of making the St. Brigid's Day crosses while reminiscing on memories of so many school days doing the same activity.  Everyone enjoyed a cup of tea after the activity.
