Join us for a FREE 8-week gardening course starting on Monday, February 24th and running until April 14th, every Monday from 1:30 pm - 3 pm.

This course will cover everything from creating healthy soil to attracting beneficial insects, and it’s perfect for anyone – whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your gardening skills.

What You Will Learn?

Our course will dive deep into the following key topics:

  • What is healthy soil?
  • Our take on herbs and weeds vs flowers and plants.
  • Insects vs pests, messy vs tidy gardens.
  • Keys to veggie success: soil/seed/timing/follow-up.
  • Watering, mulching, composting, making liquid feed.
  • Organic pest ctrl. strategies: companion planting, sacrificial crops.
  • Attracting pollinators and beneficial insects.
  • Sowing trays, pricking out.
  • Lazy beds for potatoes.

What You Will Gain?

By the end of the 8 weeks, you will have developed the knowledge and skills to:

  • Develop a sustainable approach to gardening.
  • Troubleshoot problems in their own garden.
  • Make connections with other learners on a course content level as well as on a personal and community level.
  • Become self-sufficient in terms of making your own compost, fertiliser, saving seeds, propagating your own plant material.
  • Develop a greater appreciation of the biodiversity in and around our gardens.
  • Feel joy in creating a beautiful area (e.g., woodland) or object (e.g., willow weaving).
  • Develop general troubleshooting strategies re. manual handling, weaving, tying etc.

This programme is suitable for all levels of gardening experience.
