Come along to find out about home energy upgrades, retrofitting grants, microgeneration and Eirgrid's plans for your area.

EirGrid has embarked on a series of citizens roadshow events aimed at informing local communities on how the organisation plans to future-proof the electricity grid as well as providing information about microgeneration, home energy upgrades and retrofitting grants, and regional development issues.

The roadshows follow on from the Shaping Our Electricity Future consultation programme during which EirGrid sought views and inputs from all sectors of society and industry about grid development.

The next EirGrid Energy Citizens Roadshow will take place in the Limerick Strand Hotel on Monday 22 April.

The event will commence at 6.15pm with an exhibition space featuring local businesses in the fields of residential solar panelling, insulation, and wind microgeneration.

This will be followed by a panel discussion with speakers from EirGrid, ESB Networks, and SEAI.
