Farm Forward Community Gathering: Irish Rambling House Night

Delivered as part of the Farm Forward programme and the  Ballyhoura Farmers Health & Wellbeing Network with the support of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. 

Join us for a traditional Irish Rambling House Night, bringing together members of the Ballyhoura farming community for an evening of stories, music, conversation and connection.

Inspired by Ireland's long-standing rambling house tradition, this informal gathering celebrates rural life and provides an opportunity to meet others, share experiences and enjoy an evening of entertainment in a welcoming and relaxed setting.

Whether you'd like to tell a story, sing a song, recite a poem or simply sit back and enjoy the atmosphere, everyone is welcome.

What to Expect

Enjoy an evening of traditional music, storytelling, songs and conversation, while reconnecting with neighbours, friends and the wider farming community.

The event aims to celebrate local traditions, strengthen community connections and encourage conversations around wellbeing in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Light refreshments will be provided.

No experience or performance is required—come along to listen, take part if you wish, and enjoy a great night's company.

Who Should Attend?

This event is open to active and retired farmers, farm families and anyone from a farming background.

Whether you're coming with friends or on your own, you'll receive a warm welcome. It's a chance to meet new people, share memories and enjoy an evening celebrating rural life and community.
