Biodiversity in Farming Talk

All are welcome to this talk on how the BRIDE (Biodiversity Regeneration in a Dairying Environment) EIP (European Innovation Partnership) Project is working with farmers to nurture biodiversity in the Bride River catchment area.

This talk is being presented as part of the Stop, Look & Listen - Preserving Biodiversity in Ballyhoura project, and will provide an overview of the central role of farmers in fostering and nurturing biodiversity.

The BRIDE EIP project will outline how intrinsic farmers were and continue to be to their project, and will present some best practice actions which could be undertaken in the Ballyhoura area to nurture local biodiversity. There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the Stop, Look and Listen: Preserving Biodiversity in Ballyhoura project.

Event Highlights

Tony Watson from the BRIDE EIP Project will give an overview and insights into the BRIDE project. This innovative agri-environment project is based in the River Bride catchment area, and its aim is to conserve, enhance and restore habitats in a lowland intensive farmland environment.

There will be an opportunity to learn more about how agriculture is adapting to face the challenges of biodiversity loss, and plenty of opportunity to hear about what works best in trying to nurture biodiverse farmlands.
