Are you curious about the cultural heritage of your community?

Join us for a workshop hosted by the Technical University of the Shannon (TUS), where you'll have the opportunity to learn more about your community's cultural heritage.

What is Cultural Heritage?

Cultural heritage encompasses the tangible and intangible treasures that shape our communities. It includes the art and architecture, as well as the music, stories, and traditions that bind us together.

At this workshop, we'll explore how your community views, values, and perceives its past, present, and future across all aspects of cultural heritage.

Workshop Highlights:

  • The workshop will outline how we can contribute to the knowledge of a cultural heritage, its conservation, improving perceived value etc.
  • Digital Storytelling - learn about the power of digital storytelling as a means to preserve and share your community's unique narratives.
  • Digital Cultural Mapping - highlights the way the local community sees, perceives and values its territory, its memories, its transformations, its current reality and how it would like it to be in the future
  • Attendees will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance from the Technical University of the Shannon (TUS).

This workshop is open to both community groups and individuals who are passionate about understanding and celebrating their cultural heritage.
