Ballyhoura Development will host three science-themed workshops in Kilmallock during the Limerick Festival of Science, which is part of National Science Week 2023, taking place from November 12th to 19th, 2023.

It’s Only Water
… or is it? A show to show you how water is both ordinary and extraordinary.

As a part of the Limerick Festival of Science, Ballyhoura Development, with support from Mary Immaculate College of Education, will host a water-themed science show at Friars Gate Theatre in Kilmallock on Monday, November 13th.

This exciting event, called 'It's Only Water,' will be presented by Science Made Simple. It will be an interactive show designed to inspire young people to explore the wonders of water. This show will be full of interactive demonstrations that will show you how to recognise and name the different properties water, how water has a chemical formula, and how it is affected by forces-floating, sinking and gravity.

Who is it for?

This event is suitable for children and young people of all ages.

Primary and secondary schools are strongly encouraged to participate.


When?

There will be three sessions on Monday, November 13th:

1. Primary school groups are invited to the 9:30 a.m. session:
