Creative Places Kilfinane is a community-led arts and creativity programme supported by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon through the Creative Places Programme.

Developed through extensive local research and engagement, the programme aims to place creativity at the heart of community life, ensuring that arts and culture are accessible, inclusive and shaped by the people who live here.

Supported by artists and led by local people, Creative Places Kilfinane celebrates the power of creativity to connect communities, inspire participation and strengthen a sense of place.

The Arts Council's Creative Places Programme is a national initiative that supports communities to create and deliver vibrant, accessible and sustainable arts programmes in their own local areas.

Each Creative Place is guided by a dedicated Co-ordinator who works alongside local residents, artists, community groups, schools and organisations to develop creative projects and opportunities over a three-year period. This inclusive and participatory approach is rooted in community development principles and socially engaged arts practice.

Creative Places Kilfinane builds on a strong foundation of local creativity, community participation and partnership working, creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with the arts and help shape the future cultural life of the area.
