This Free Six-Week ceramics programme offers learners the opportunity to explore the creative art of working with clay in a welcoming and supportive environment. Suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some previous experience. What You’ll Learn: This non-certified course introduces the fundamental techniques of hand-building and ceramic design while encouraging creativity, self-expression, and confidence. Throughout the six weeks, participants will learn essential skills such as: Pinch Pots Coil building Slab construction Surface decoration, texturing, and glazing techniques. This programme promotes creativity, mindfulness, and wellbeing by encouraging participants to slow down, focus on the creative process, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of working with their hands. What You’ll Achieve: Learners will have the opportunity to create a variety of functional and decorative ceramic pieces while developing an understanding of the properties of clay, the ceramic-making process, and safe studio practices. It also provides an opportunity to meet new people, build confidence, and become part of a supportive learning community. By the end of the programme, learners will have completed a collection of unique ceramic pieces to take home, gained practical skills in ceramic making, and developed the confidence to continue exploring pottery and ceramics as a hobby or pursue further learning opportunities.
