Ballyhoura Development CLG and SECAD Partnership currently deliver the WREN (Women’s Rural Entrepreneurial Network) Programme to help female entrepreneurs to acquire the knowledge, skills and confidence to assess the viability of their start-up businesses through a combination of training, networking and mentoring supports.

The WREN Programme, therefore, supports women who have a business idea and wish to set up their own business; are in the early stages of their new business, or are more advanced entrepreneurs. It is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning (PEIL) 2014 - 2020.

Since the Covid Pandemic hit both organisations have successfully moved this programme online for these brave, ambitious ladies embarking on their entrepreneurial journeys.
