Ballyhoura Science Week 2021

As part of National Science Week, Ballyhoura Development is delighted to be partnering with Science Foundation Ireland to Bring Science Back! During National Science Week, which runs from 8th to 13th November.

It doesn’t get bigger than this and it’s all completely Free!

What’s New?

1. Be inspired at Friars’ Gate Theatre, where we focus on Women in STEM.

Join us for an evening event on 10th or 11th November for fun table-top challenges, discussions and stirring videos that will provide food for thought on the theme of women working in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM).

2. Bring the whole family to have a look at the explosion of Science offerings at our Ballyhoura Family Science Day.

From Live Reptile Exhibits, 360* dome cinema, slime, gunk and fireballs… this is going to be epic.

Get involved with everyday citizen science that is going on our doorstep at the eco-village arena.

3. Community Food Initiative. Included in the Saturday lineup at the Ballyhoura Family Science Day in Croom, our chef will be hosting cook-along classes and demonstrations for you to try.  Join us for a taste of something different, with prizes and freebies a-plenty.

Ballyhoura Development would like to invite you to put on your lab coats and join us for one of the free events taking place between 8th – 13th of November
