In the weeks leading up to Christmas women in Kilmallock took part in weekly Christmas Cookery Classes supported by Ballyhoura Development's East Limerick Traveller Project and Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board where they tried some traditional Christmas cooking and baking.

The Women taking part in the programme were delighted to learn new cooking and baking skills while at the same time meeting other women and having some time for themselves outside the home.

Some of the recipes included Chocolate Biscuit Cakes, Traditional Christmas Cake and some savoury snacks. Everyone that took part in the training programme looks forward to trying out these recipes with their families over Christmas.
