Targeting individuals aged 16 to 30, the project facilitates transnational networking to build capabilities and skills.
The goal is to encourage young people to become proactive citizens, leading concrete actions to address climate change and contributing to Sustainable Development Goals, recognizing the key role of youth in building a sustainable future.
Ballyhoura Development is the lead partner in this project and is working alongside partners in Portugal, Lithuania, Belgium, Greece and Italy.
The first element of the project involves completing research on the level of youth knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Change among young people in the Ballyhoura area and in the other partner countries.
The next element of the project involves developing learning modules on these topics and testing them with young people and youth workers.
The final stage will be the full roll out of these and a Hackathon event which will bring young people from the various partner countries together to develop solutions and allow them to take action for sustainable development.
