Ballyhoura Development supports women who have a business idea and wish to set up their own business; are in the early stages of their new business; or are more advanced entrepreneurs, through the WREN Programme, the Women's Rural Entrepreneurship Network.

The Women's Rural Entrepreneurship Network is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning (PEIL) 2014 - 2020.

The WREN Programme runs for 18 months and provides a wide range of personal and professional training and upskilling supports.  The Programme provides one-to-one mentoring support to participants throughout the programme, as well as a range of business skills training, learning events and facilitated networking sessions.

Since the Programme started, over 70 women have participated and have set up and developed their own businesses.
